***All Hands On Deck for Pre-Event Se**tup! Sunday, March 5th @ 1:00PM**
*Just a reminder that volunteers are needed on Sunday, March 5 from
1:00pm to 5:00pm to help prep the venue! As this is a DIY event, we need
individuals to help us with tasks such as stuffing goodie bags, moving
chairs, and setting up signs.

Music, beautiful sun, and great company will be provided :D*

***REMINDER: Apply for the IFF Tools & Tech Showcase by Friday, Feb 24th!***
*The IFF is excited to be hosting the second edition of the Tools & Tech
Showcase this year, organized by eQualit.ie and the 2017 IFF Tools &
Technology Fellows, on Tuesday 7th March!

The Tools & Tech Showcase aims at offering visibility to innovative and
inclusive projects that are precious for protecting freedom of speech
and human rights online.The IFF Tools & Technology fellows will choose
12 applications, favoring first-time participants and recently launched
(or public beta) initiatives. We've already received a great number of
applications for projects to be featured, so don't delay!

***Join the IFF Community on Mattermost!**
*The IFF has an active community on Mattermost, our community
communications platform (like Slack, but open source), and we'd love for
you to take part in it if you haven't already. We'll be using Mattermost
during the festival to deliver updates to the community on
*self-organized sessions, meetups, side events, and other important
festival news* - it will also be an active channel for you to use if you
have questions for other participants, or want to send out an update
yourself!

***Post Your Requests**! "Need/Offer" Page on the IFF Wiki***
Many of you have been sending requests looking for specific things
ranging from a housing opportunity to a specific skill. To allow you to
mobilize faster, please post your request or offer on the *Need/Offer*
page on our wiki. There are other wiki pages you should also consider
posting on, such as the *Social Outings* and *Karma wall* - which are
tools to help you to both meet and organize new folks:

In addition, *we previously asked that IFF parents that are bringing
their children* to contact us so they could coordinate. However, in the
spirit of solidarity and collaboration, we are opening this call to
anyone that would like to support parents coming to IFF. Get in contact
