### News and Updates ###
Our News and Updates section is driven by you! Be sure to include us in
your rounds of announcements and campaign updates!
***Remembering Bassel Khartabil***
In the last few days it was confirmed that Bassel Khartabil was executed
by Syrian authorities in 2015. Bassel was a Syrian-Palestinian blogger,
open-source software developer, and a passionate leader of the open
access movement in Syria. Most importantly, he loved his country. To
remember him, we ask you to take a moment to read a letter his wife,
Noura Ghazi, wrote to him in 2015.
