Hello Resource Designers,
Two upcoming workshops you might be interested in (or know someone who might benefit)
For those of you planning a workshop, training or convening to kickstart a co-creation process for your resource, you might be interested in the next Session Design Lab, taking place Wednesday September 27th & Thursday September 28th from 2pm to 5pm UTC (check your time zone <https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?iso=20230927T140000&p1=1440&p2=388&p3=225&p4=64&p5=250&p6=51&p7=136&p8=37&p9=170&p10=44&p11=237>)
The lab will help you improve your facilitation and training skills by exposing you to adult learning methodologies and a workshop format known as ADIDS. We also provide an opportunity to design your own session and have your design peer-reviewed by other participants. By the end of the lab, you will have:
a peer-reviewed l session design ready for implementation
a greater understanding of how to run effective workshops and convenings
connections with others on a similar learning journey.
Access to the Session Design Canvas - a tool to help plan your future sessions.
You can learn more here: https://www.fabriders.net/session-design-lab/
And then on October 4th, I’ll be running “Facilitating Collective Power” - specifically for people who have experience designing, convening and facilitating charities, advocates, activists, and other movement-builders. This session will provide skills to identify, practice and support "facilitative leadership” and explore power analysis frameworks to help you develop valuable sessions that can help drive meaningful change.
You’ll find more details and the registration form here: https://www.fabriders.net/facilitating-collective-power/
To say thank you for contributing to this network, I’d like to offer you a 25% discount on both of those workshops. Please use the promo code SCHOLAR25
Also note - If people can’t afford the registration fees, we never deny anyone a request for a scholarship - there is an ‘apply for scholarship’ link at the bottom of both pages.
Hope to see you soon,
Dirk
