Hello Resource Designers,
Happy September!
Way back in 2016, I started a journey with Heather Leson at IFRC, co-editing a beta version of a collection of social learning materials that came to be known as The Data Playbook. Our objective was to make it a network-centric resource by getting contributions, feedback and input from across the Red Cross / Red Crescent and other humanitarian networks. In 2018 we launched the beta, then in 2021, we were joined by Melissa El Hamouch as a co-editor as we engaged the RCRC network in co-creating the V1.
In June 2022, we launched The Data PlaybookV1 (see: https://solferinoacademy.com/data-playbook/) and are now preparing to document our co-creation methodology. We want to ask for this network’s help on this. Can you join us on Tuesday, September 20th, at 14:00 UTC? We will be holding a meeting as part of the Data Literacy Consortium to learn how our methodology might be helpful to other data literacy and network-centric resource design practitioners.
If you can make it, we’d love to see you. You can learn more and register here: http://dataconsortium.net/the-v1-of-the-data-playbook-is-ready/
It would also be great if anyone on this list wanted to share recent lessons learned or significant challenges in developing network-centric resources that you might like to discuss with other resource designers. Happy to set up an online discussion around your topic. Feel free to respond to the list or email me directly.
Look forward to connecting!
Dirk
