Hi everybody.
I added notes from the IFF pad, as well as pictures of the notes we took
on paper during the session on documentation workflow that took place in
Valencia on the 7 March, here:
https://github.com/documentation-workflows/meetings/tree/master/IFF2018
It was very interesting to see where all the projects are at, even if
the complicated user experience is still felt as a major obstacle in
managing git-based documentation.
One of the most interesting outcomes of this session to me was a
proposal of doing a survey of all the needs we have in terms of
improving the UX, as a first step towards a shared effort to develop the
git/markdown editor we need.
IMHO a starting point for a common tool might be Prose (possibly tweaked
so as to be used on private repositories and on self-hosted gitlab
instances -- https://github.com/prose/prose/issues/713 ).
Best,
Floriana
