Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to alert you all that the proposal deadline for MozFest is in just a few short weeks, August 1st. MozFest will happen this year on October 26-28, at Ravensbourne college in London.

Over the last few years, I’ve had a role at MozFest in supporting Facilitators in designing effective sessions, and will likely be playing that role again this year. Aside from my role, I’ve found MozFest to be a ‘don’t miss’ opportunity and if you work is connected in anyway to supporting a healthy internet, I’d really urge you to think about submitting a session. I ran a session last year on ‘Network Centric Resources’ that was incredibly helpful in formulating the Lifecycles. I’m likely to pitch something on NCR again this year. I’ve also run sessions in the past on Data Literacy and Hacking User Centred Design for Social Change. It’s a great opportunity to develop networks and get more people involved in what you are doing.

Are you interested in submitting a proposal for this year? It would be great to share it here on the Network Centric Resources list and see if there’s any opportunities for collaboration. I’d also be happy to talk with anyone who would like to talk through their idea. Also feel free to urge other colleagues to submit a session.

The submission page is here: https://mozillafestival.org/proposals - They also have some great resources linked, including a Seven Steps to a Great MozFest proposal (https://medium.com/mozilla-festival/7-steps-to-a-great-mozfest-proposal-eff4f1cee6fe)

Hope to see you there!

Dirk
