Hello Everyone,
Some updates on Upcoming Events:
In just over a month I’ll be at MozFest - https://mozillafestival.org, which takes place in London, October 27th to 29th. I’ll be running a session there on Network Centric Resources and also doing Facilitation Support for other Facilitators running sessions. Wondering if anyone else will be there. One of the things I’ll be hoping to do during that session is to invite more people into our network.
I’m also super excited about Aspiration’s NPDev https://aspirationtech.org/events/devsummit17 in Oakland, Nov 15th to 17th - which is the only NPTech event that I’ll cross the pond for (in the US anyway!), this has a great community of radical techie social justice campaigners that has grown around it and the sessions are super-nourishing.
A couple of others that are on my radar screen:
- Campaign Con https://campaigncon.org in Nairobi, November 7 to 9th
- Internet Governance Forum in Geneva 17-21 December (https://igf2017.swiss) - also be on the look out for APC’s Disco-Tech Event Pre-IGF
And the ones that Floriana mentioned in her post: WriteTheDocs Conference http://www.writethedocs.org that happened a few weeks ago in Prague.
- soap! - happening in Krakow in June: http://soapconf.com/
- Lavacon - happening twice a year in Portland and Dublin: https://lavacon.org/2017/
Are there any other upcoming events that people are excited about and perhaps places we can exchange knowledge about network-centric resources?
More soon,
Dirk
