Hello Everyone,

Understanding Human Centred Design has been critical in my work for both developing resources and also nurturing and supporting networks. Developing user profiles as a first step before developing any content or establishing platforms, etc is very important in being successful in development. As part of this I am looking for volunteers to be interviewed to develop user profiles for our Network-Centric User Guide. What I can offer those who will volunteer is an in-depth view of how to structure them and hopefully provide you with insights on how to run them for your own projects.

If you are interested in being interviewed, I would be extremely grateful. Please email me directly and we will schedule a time. These interviews generally take about 30 minutes, but we might need a little extra time to discuss methodology.

And while we’re on the subject, I’m running a workshop entitled ‘Human Centred Design for Social Change' with Patrick Olszowski of Outrageous Impact (https://outrageousimpact.co.uk) on a workshop in London on May 4th to help others better understand how this methodology can be applied more broadly in social change campaigns, trainings, programmes and projects. We intend to explore key topics on how to build user profiles that will lead to improved engagement and how releasing prototypes rather than final versions, can help you accomplish deeper learning and share ownership of your efforts.

In an effort to walk the walk, we’re holding a free Hangout next Thursday, April 20th at Noon UK to better understand how the workshop can provide value and benefit to participants. To RSVP and get the details on the Hangout - please see: https://www.fabriders.net/human-centred-design/

For more information on the day-long workshop on May 4th in London, please see: https://www.fabriders.net/workshop-human-centred-design/

And also feel free to get in touch directly if you have any questions. And please feel free to pass on the hangout/workshop details to anyone who might be interested.

Thanks,

Dirk
