Subject: Invitation | Critical EdTech Studies Day @ Utrecht University – 11 December 2026

Dear Stefania,

We would like to invite you to the first ever Critical Edtech Studies day for Dutch and Flemish researchers who critically engage with digital technology and education.

Join us at Utrecht University on Friday, 11 December 2026 for a day dedicated to connecting researchers, discovering shared interests and concerns, and building a stronger Critical EdTech Studies community across the Netherlands and Flanders. The event will also mark the launch of the NWO Vidi project Reclaiming the Digital Classroom: Securing Public Value in European Education in the Era of Big Tech and AI (RECLaiM-EDU).

The program will feature an inspiring keynote, interactive workshops, opportunities to share your own research, explore common interests, and identify possibilities for future collaboration. Lunch will be provided, and we will conclude the day with informal drinks to continue conversations.

The event is open to researchers in the Netherlands and Flanders, including early career scholars. If you know others who might be interested, please feel free to share this invitation with them or suggest potential participants to us directly. To ensure we can keep track of registrations, we kindly ask everyone wishing to attend to confirm their participation by email.

You can find more detailed information about the event in the attached document.

We would love to have you join us! Please let us know if you would like to attend by replying to this email.

With kind regards,

Niels Kerssens
Wouter van der Horst
