Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that we are meeting with Ray today at 10 for the website. I'll be there and happy if anyone else is available! Otherwise, I'll send updates.

Updates from last week: the radio talk with Tammo and Luiza Machado went amazing on Wednesday at CPDP. Luiza works at Equilabs in Europe and we could probably organize something together at some point on the line of Living Lab activities. Here is the talk if you want to hear or share: https://www.youtube.com/live/K2i3gkEloGQ?t=4673s

On Friday I presented at the Academic Session III our paper Infrastructural Inequalities. Frederik Zuiderveen, who moderated the panel, asked if I had some recommendations for policy makers and if it was already possible to read the paper. Andres Chomczyk (Finance, University of Madrid Comillas) said he's been following the DATAGOV project and would be interested in collaborating on definitions of 'consent' in relation to data privacy; Eduardo Brito (Engineer, University of Tartu, Estonia) recognized the centrality of the gendered character of deep fakes in his presentation. Overall a good panel.

Networking wise, I connected with prof. Simone van der Hof from Leiden Uni who asked for my book when is out (yay!) and with Fabiana Da Pieve, Team Leader on Post-Quantum Cryptography at DG Connect; I told Fabiana about DATAGOV and she said she is super available if we want to have a more in-depth chat. Also had a word with EU partliamentary Anya Wyrobek who works on AI implementation.

I think that is about it for me. I have the dutch exam this week and I have been skipping classes for a while so I am going to concentrate on that this week + the website. If anyone wants to post a blog let me know! I will be writing my blog post on Q-Day (the post-quantum apocalypse) and fixing the previous one on health tech which I think can go this week unless we have something else!!

Best,
G
