Dear Fernando,

It is the Volkshotel<https://www.volkshotel.nl/> (Wibautstraat 150, 1091 GR Amsterdam). I am attaching Stefania’s email from 23 January with more information.
I have not been involved with that part of the organisation myself so I would contact @Stefania Milan<mailto:S.Milan at uva.nl> for details if necessary.

 Best,
Jonas

Dear Jonas,

Thank you for the information.

I would like some logistical information.

Could you tell me which hotel my stay is booked at? I ask this because I need to get organized.

Stefania had asked me to buy the ticket and that there would be a refund. I bought the tickets and I leave Brazil on the 24th and return on the 29th of March. I asked about the hotel because I agreed with Stefania that I would pay for an extra night at the hotel. Can you confirm this for me?

Best wishes,
Fernando

Dear Fernando,
We can’t wait to welcome you in Amsterdam for the kick-off event of the DATAGOV project on 26–27 March 2026.
A quick reminder of the set-up:
Day 1 (closed workshop), focused on informal inputs and joint conversation joined by a live illustrator—so you may well leave as a cartoon character. We’ll end with a cosy dinner at Terre Lente.
Day 2 (public event) consists of a public programme (schedule here https://datagovlab.net/events/datagov_kickoff_2026.html).

Your Day 1 session: Day 1 is divided into three sessions. Each session starts with short, provocative interventions by you and 4 others, 20 minutes total, 4 minutes per speaker, followed by an open discussion. We have placed you in Session 2 with Rob van Kranenburg, Louise Amoore, Rocco Bellanovo and Bidisha Chaudhuri.
>From you, we were especially interested in algorithms as institutions, Brazil developments/challenges/risks…, and education tech.
We suggest some guiding questions (no need to address all of them): Where do you see the deepest unresolved tension in how data infrastructures are used to govern today? Where do current debates fall short? Which actors, infrastructures, or norms are most under-examined?

Let us know what you think.
With best regards,
DATAGOV team
