[DATAGOV Core] EASST submissions from our team

Dear all,
I have attached my abstract to this email.
I have read Sruthi’s great abstract and checked the panel’s current number of submissions (18, wow!). I do think that Sruthi’s proposal is a better fit than mine, so I am happy to submit my text elsewhere.
Kind regards,
Carina

Thanks, Giulia.
Here is the abstract I submitted at EASST - a condensed version of my pilot study report.
Best,
Sruthi

Good morning team,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this.
How about we take a moment to discuss this tomorrow morning? We have our weekly meeting, at 8:45 again (only for this and the next week).
In the meantime, could you please share both abstracts?
Thank you,
Best,
Giulia

Dear all,
If Sruthi's abstract is a better fit, I am willing to look for a different panel. There are a couple of options that could work after a rewrite.
If y'all think it is best to go with Sruthi's abstract (which I am sure is great!), I would kindly ask @Jonas Breuer<mailto:j.a.breuer at uva.nl> to select the TRANSFER option for my abstract. This option would give me extra time to rewrite the original abstract.
If this option is too complicated, I will withdraw my abstract and resubmit it to a different panel before the deadline.
Kind regards,
Carina

Hi Team,
Sorry if I misunderstood earlier. In our last conversation, I thought Jonas mentioned that we could apply to our own panel too as he would like the option of not selecting a few proposals if not too relevant to the theme. And I thought some of us were planning to submit to different panels at the conference.
I applied last night thinking it could be a good venue to present my pilot findings and introduce myself to the STS community, since I'm still quite new to the field.
But if it comes down to choosing within the team (strategically and/or budget wise), and if Carina is a better fit, please go ahead! I am more than happy to either help with organising or try my luck at the next iteration if that makes it easier :)
Best,
Sruthi

Hello everyone,
Maybe some of the details of this call slipped through for me, but I thought we were organizing/moderating this panel, not proposing our own presentations for it.
I am sorry to hear that we have to make a choice within our group, but I am sure that nothing is wasted in any case. Regarding your questions, what kind of help do you need Jonas?
I ask because I would like to apply for the Global Gathering in Portugal (September 4-6 Portugal). I would love to come to Krakov and I am happy to help (I guess with reviewing proposals and panel moderation) except for those days prior to the conference. Given there is funding, of course.
Regarding the proposals, I do not know how to go with this, but I would propose to have a collective discussion on it. Also, both for this proposal and for future ones, it would be great if we could share these texts in some place of our infrastructure, as it helps everyone to keep up to date with what everyone else is doing, writing, presenting :)
Best,
Giulia

Hi friends,
I just saw that both Sruthi and Carina submitted to our panel at EASST.
I think we cannot accept both submissions and we should decide as a team what is the most strategic. Also because I will need at least one of the team to be there with me to help with organising and facilitating without being an author.
In other words:
*
which paper/author should be accepted strategically (I’m sure both are amazing of course)?
*
who can join me to help, also budget wise?
This is for next week but would be glad to have everyone’s input.
Cheers
