Hello team,
sorry for not being there yesterday!
Here are my updates from last week to today:
- had a meeting with the Brazilian research group that I collaborate with on the topic of digital health; the project ends in December and in November it will host a closing event at UFF, a one-day conference with invited expert guests from the field of public health, gender-based violence, and collective health; I think it would be a great point of connection for my fieldwork and I could probably combine it with another workshop on digital health with the friend/colleague of Stefi that I met at CPDP and works at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) (can you remind me the name stefi?) --> this would mean changing the plan for my fieldwork, and going something like october-november 2026, rather than jan-march 2027;
- did some cleaning of Zotero library, fixing the references when needed; also noticed that many references do not have the attached pdf and that several folders are empty; I would like to propose to take a moment during the retreat to do a bit of Zotero Jamming where we collectively revise the structure, add references, decide how to tag etc (hands-on) :)
- I finally finished and submitted a paper revision, after receiving peer-review feedback and discussing it with the other author, Margherita di Cicco (also at UVA). The article is now being revised by the editors and will be published as a new version, accessible here: https://open-research-europe.ec.europa.eu/articles/6-59 (this is the old version, with the peer-review in open);
- had my dutch exam, not sure I passed tbh;
- this morning I participated to a call with the people coordinating the SURF pilot :) I attach the notes (although they will also send us the slides). It was mostly a bit of an overview of the pilot objectives and next steps; in a nutshell, they hope to be able to expand it with synchronized calendar and email, and to keep it going after this year, which will largely depend on the role of academia, being higher education the number one group of institutions in the pilot;
That's about it. I am now working on the manuscript revisions cause this is the last month before we move on to production + thinking about some activities/agenda points for the retreat :) Happy to revise the PS when they are ready :)
Best,
G
