[DATAGOV Core] DATAGOV security workshop _ homework!

Dear Stefi,

thanks for the reminder. I have created the corresponding tasks as "planning" on our Deck for these 4 steps; what would the deadline be for having them completed? Is it August 30th for everything, or just for sending our scenarios?

Regarding the dates for meeting, I am on holiday the last two weeks of August, so I will not be able to meet during those days. Any other time is good. But do you want to meet for the in-person workshop and separately for Matteo's stay at NATO, or are these the same thing? What do we need to do to make sure that Matteo is ready for NATO?

Thanks!
Best,
G

PS: Today I am posting the EASST panel on the Upcoming Events section of the website, and Ray confirmed that they started adding the material to the new website.

Dear all
As you may remember, we discussed that we have a few fundamental steps ahead of us, before going to the field:

  *
Theoretical framework / shared glossary (what do we mean by what; shared understanding)
  *
Interview questionnaires (shared, modular)
  *
Security workshop
  *
(Data management plan — ops, still on my desk, anyway connected with the above)

Deliverables:

  *
Besides the individual deliverables of each steps, these exercises will converge in the three Working Papers we have to compile in the coming months.
  *

Note: in principle, no data should be collected before these three steps are completed.

These are collective activities, to be workshopped in the flesh.
However, in the interest of time, we are fast tracking the security workshop (thanks @Carina Nasser<mailto:c.romanachnasser2 at uva.nl> for the reminder!). I have prepared some material (attached, in both pdf and word; sorry for not more formats), which encourages each of you to INDIVIDUALLY think through realistic, plausible scenarios you could find yourself in in the coming 12 months (next academic year).

The deadline is August 30.

TO DO ASAP: find a date for the security workshop IN PERSON, in the first 10 days of September.

We also need dates for the 2nd half of August ideally (Federico I know you are away, but we need to make sure Mattéo is ready for NATO). @Jonas Breuer<mailto:j.a.breuer at uva.nl> and @Giulia Campaioli<mailto:g.campaioli at uva.nl>, could you kindly help us find suitable dates (at least two days)? Thanks!

Hope you find it fun to think through doom scenarios with data and research participants! Thanks for engaging in the exercise.
Stefi
