Sruthi became South in the auto-correct. Sorry!

Asking again: anyone? Only South replied. And Agustin wrote to me again 😊

Subject: DataGov participating in workshop

Dear Stefania,

I hope you had a great start of the year. As I mentioned during the department’s Christmas party, I’m organizing a workshop with Devika Narayan on computational infrastructures on March 17th, which will be co-hosed by AlgoSoc and the Programmables Infrastructures Project. I’m reaching out to ask whether one of the Early Career Scholars of DataGov would like to present their work during this event.

The workshop will be a reverse seminar structured around three sessions. In the first session, Devika will present a work-in-progress of hers and attendants will provide feedback. In each of the other sessions, two ECS will present a paper of their own related on computational infrastructure and discuss it with the group. We still have one spot free for an ECS to present their work and, given the significant overlaps between our projects, we thought we’d ask you.

The only requirements is for the paper to be related to computational infrastructures, and for the presentant to send it over to us by February 27th so we can circulate it with those who signed up for the session. We also completely understand if this is not convenient for DataGov’s ECS, just let us know so we can ask other people.

Thank you very much and hoping to see you soon,
Agustin
