Hello everyone!

Sandy to answer your question, we're excited about the rotational hosting
cos people get to 'own' the event, and we all don't have to bear the costs
ourselves! We already have hosts for November and December, and we threw in
the sweetener that if you host you can nominate a speaker.

How we publicised the event: We created posters and an Eventbrite and then
shared the link across our social media. Interestingly we had 70 people
register but only 20 showed up, thankfully we had an equal number of men
and women. We will shoot for higher registration for October.

How we talked digisec: A lot of people came out of curiosity and for us
that was great because we had a lot of questions for the panellists and the
core techies. As this was our first, we focused a lot on just introducing
the various aspects of digital security but also focused on how it affects
our everyday lives. The plan is to always simplify the conversation so that
people take away practical steps they can act on.

Chioma.
