Dear friends of Big Data from the South

It is my pleasure to announce the publication of a piece that has appeared earlier on the “COVID-19 from the margins” blog but in Italian.
Co-authored with Philip Di Salvo and myself, the post reflects on the challenges of the first pandemic of the datafied society.
You are read it following this link [1]. It appeared also on Open Democracy yesterday.

In addition, I am happy to announce on behalf of the blog editors that, starting tomorrow, we will run a mini-series on Brazil, featuring articles in both Portuguese and English. This is particularly necessary by the recent controversial moves of Bolsonaro about pandemic data in particular. We want to give voice to another narrative that looks at the real situation on the ground, with our special eye for communities at the margins. This is why I ask for your collaboration in helping us spread the stories.. and do not forget to include the hashtag @BigDataSur.

All the best, and stay safe! Stefania
