[Bigdatasur] About losing a dear friend and an active member of our community

Dear bigdatasur list members,

Two days ago, we lost our dear friend María Elena Meneses Rocha. Professor
at the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in
Mexico, and former president of the Mexican Association of Communication
Researchers, Maria was  a journalist, a strenuous defender of communication
rights, and an active member of the Big Data from the South network.

Our thoughts are with her family in this difficult time. Her work will
continue to be a source of inspiration for all of us.
