Hi,
I like the way serendipity works, so to help it, I will share some
activities related with data activism that we're doing locally and,
hopefully, some others will do the same, until serendipity occurs.
This weekend, since Saturday at 3 PM local time (GMT-5) we're going to
do a small activity related with data activism. The idea is to translate
and enhance the Data Driven Journalism Handbook [1] with our pocket
infrastructure for data activism, visualization and storytelling,
Grafoscopio [2].

In the same spirit of "doing with words", we want to "say with tools &
infrastructures", that more inclusive and plural ways of working
critically with data are available and "The South" is making original
and worthy approach to them, considering issues like meta-data
cyberfeudalism, that is enabled by centralized non-pocket
infrastructures and is the norm in "the North". Building this ways of
critical discourse is about making practices that embodied them, like
the ones of this weekend. If you're interested and by any chance in
Bogotá, let us know and pop-up at our hackerspace[3]
