Hello,

We had a very productive BigBang meeting today!
Priyanka, Nick, and myself were in attendance.

*tl;dr *Because the EU lawyers still haven't given us an easy answer to our
questions regarding IETF email privacy, we are going to need to reinvent
email to be more privacy-aware.

Inspired by the ongoing question of how to respect the privacy of IETF
participants, we came to the conclusion that there should be an RFC for
privacy-aware email that would include things like headers for opting out
of analytics.

We have identified the PEARG <https://irtf.org/pearg> working group as a
good place to home this work.
Nick Doty is taking the lead on reaching out to Shivan, who leads the
group, about next steps.

Notes from the meeting are in the etherpad:

Cheers,
Seb
