I am probably not the best person to comment on this but I suggest to check in
with Plantage Dok where the Anarchist Book Fair is usually held annually.  They
have a big building, quite nonprofit, and a gallery with exhibitions.

Otherwise, jrw was suggesting to flick through Culturele Stelling Amsterdam,
which is a map of alternative spaces in the city and lists many alternative art
spaces.  Failing that it might be worth looking at other cities, because believe
it or not, there is culture outside the capital too.  Nieuwe Vide in Haarlem is
an artist-run space that does exhibitions, for instance.
