25 scholars — including Mirca Madianou, Jo Pierson, Cecilia Passanti, Niels ten Oever, Louise Amoore, Fernando Filgueiras, and Bidisha Chaudhuri — to map the field and identify shared research directions. Day two opened to the public at ythe platform for contemporary

identification infrastructures in Brazil (Carina), biometric interoperability in EU security governance (Mattéo), and digital public infrastructure as governance rationality (Sruthi). Fieldwork preparations also advanced: Mattéo arranged interviews with Europol
staff and secured field access to NATO innovation spaces; Giulia completed six pilot interviews on Brazil's E-SUS healthcare digitalization plan, informing her upcoming DATAGOV fieldwork there.</span></p>

Politics" (in Fernando Filgueiras' forthcoming book Artificial Intelligence and Democracy), which argues that AI infrastructures push democracy — an inherently plural, conflictual process — toward standardization and accelerated, market-driven timelines, narrowing

of Dutch education and research. Stefania has joined a small advisory group supporting the UvA’s Executive Board on the future of the NextCloud pilot and technology sovereignty. </span></p>
