<p>I agree that the invitations are best sent beginning of January,
most people have already set their out-of-office automatic reply
and the invitation would probably get lost :) </p>
<p>And yes, let's add the invitation to subscribe to the mailing
list! I'm adding some contacts to the "Contact List" sheet in our
Cryptpad, to add to that mailing list. </p>

Maybe we can take this time until beginning of January to decide
on invited guests for the workshop, keynote speakers and
artists/performers. </p>
<p>Regarding Stefi's question about the workshop, I think either
geographical focus or tech focus is interesting; my guess is that
the geographical focus would allow us to connect with researchers
that we may otherwise not encounter in Amsterdam, more so than
going for the tech focus.<br>

Regarding keynote speakers, I agree with Sruthi that it would be
nice to discuss the final list of invitees. As for artists, I've
been searching for artists and performers that focus their work on
digital infrastructures but I haven't found anyone who's super on
point. If you have any suggestion, please feel free to add them to
the newly added sheet "Artists/performers", always in the same
Cryptpad.<br>

DATAGOV investigates regulatory data infrastructures:
data-grabbing systems that actively shape the polity, from
monitoring and automated decision-making to mediating access
to public services, rights, and welfare. The project, funded
by the European Research Council (ERC, grant No. 101142006),
takes a comparative approach investigating the European Union,
Brazil, India, and South Africa, to examine how these
infrastructures transform governance and what they mean for
the future of democracy in an era of pervasive datafication.
To start with, our empirical focus is on four technology
families: biometrics, digital identity, and health and
education technologies, and how these reconfigure citizenship,
sovereignty, and inequality.</div>

<span style="font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(33, 33, 33);">DATAGOV</span><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"> investigates
<b>regulatory data infrastructures</b>: systems
that actively shape the polity, from monitoring
and automated decision-making to mediating access
to public services, rights, and welfare. The
project, funded by the
<b>European Research Council</b> (ERC) and led by
<b>Prof. Stefania Milan</b> (University of
Amsterdam), takes a comparative approach across
the EU, Brazil, India, and South Africa, to
examine how these infrastructures transform
governance and what they mean for the future of
democracy in an era of pervasive datafication. To
start with, our empirical focus is on three
technology families: biometrics, digital identity,
and health technologies, and how these reconfigure
citizenship, sovereignty, and inequality.</span></p>

The project explores regulatory data
infrastructures: infrastructures that actively
shape the polity, from monitoring and automated
decision-making to mediating access to public
services, rights, and welfare. Through a
