We invite proposals for presentations at an international online pre-conference on <strong>Global Justice, Technology, and Integrated Research </strong>related to <em>4th Conference on Integrated Research: Shaping and reflecting on Human-Technology Relations transdiciplinarily. </em>Both events can be visited separately and independent from each other.<br>
<br>
The pre-conference language is English; the follwing in-person event will be held predominantly in German.<br>

<strong>What is it about?</strong> Integrated and Integrative Research aim at involving diverse stakeholders into technology development processes and at integrating ethical, legal, social and other aspects into such processes in collaborative practices. We invite scholars, and especially encourage junior researchers, to present their work, perspectives and theoretical take on related topics for an online pre-conference on Global Justice, Technology, and Integrated Research that will be held on January 30th 2024.<br>
<br>
Impulses from the online pre-conference will be taken to the following in-person 4th conference on Integrated Research – Shaping and reflecting on Human-Technology Relations transdisciplinarily that will take place on January 31st and 1st of February at the HEINZ NIXDORF MUSEUMSFORUM in Paderborn, Germany.<br>
<br>
The pre-conference aims to <strong>internationalize</strong> the discussion on integrated research and its implementation and puts the central theme of global justice, crucial for responsible innovation, on the agenda of the Cluster Integrated Research.<br>
<br>
Proposals should deal with the topics global justice and integrated research concerning technology development, research, and implementation processes. This can include but is not limited to the following topics:<br>

<strong>• Technology development and global justice<br>
• Integration of ethical, legal, social, and other aspects into technology development<br>
• Collaborative practices in technology development<br>
• Human-technology relations in digitalised lifeworlds<br>
• Responsible Research and Innovation and global justice</strong><br>
<br>
Researchers may work in philosophy, ethics, anthropology, sociology, psychology, social sciences, law, co-design, HMI, computer sciences, machine learning, technology development, the arts, social justice research and/or practices, Science and Technology Studies, or other related fields.<br>
<br>
<strong>Deadline: </strong>Please send your proposals for an online presentation until December 15th 2023 (max. 500 words) to <a>jacqueline.bellon@uni-tuebingen.de</a> and kindly indicate in your proposal what time slot you would prefer to present in, either 8 am to 10 am, or, 5 pm to 7 pm CET (UTC+1).<br>

No conference fees will be charged. The pre-conference in an online event and mostly independent from the following in-person event. Participants of the online pre-conference (January 30th 2024) are cordially invited to join the in person conference (January 31st and February 1st), however, conference language will be German and we cannot reimburse for travel costs.<br>
